MEET THE FOUNDERS
The founders of Colors for Heart are Lakshmi Surada and Neha Deosthali. They are high school seniors at the Liberal Arts and Science Academy in Austin, Texas. They are both passionate about healthcare and medicine, especially mental health. They wanted to use this passion to help their community. Started in 2019, Colors for Heart is that initiative that will use art to try and make an impact in peoples’ lives.
NEHA DEOSTHALI
Neha has been interested in science and medicine from a very young age. She also loves engaging in public service and has been a volunteer at Rural Area Medicine and Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic. Neha is an artist and has often used art as a therapeutic activity. Her passion for art and public service led her to start this initiative.
Neha is the Vice-President and co-founder of the UNICEF USA club at her high school. She is also a basketball player and dancer. She loves spending time with her friends and family, cooking, and staying active.Â
She is very excited to meet and work with many new people through Colors for Heart!
LAKSHMI SURADA
Lakshmi is passionate about medicine and innovation. She is always open and eager to learn more about science and the world around her. Lakshmi's love for art and science brought her to creating this program so that she can help other people enjoy art the same way she does. Lakshmi is very passionate about volunteering, and she volunteers very often. She is also the founder of the Red Cross Club at her school. She also likes to meet new people, travel, and spend time with her friends and family. Lakshmi also loves to cook with her sister, run, and try new activities.
Lakshmi can't wait to help people and make her mark through Colors For Heart.
VEDASRI SURADA
Vedasri is very passionate about science, innovation, and technology. She is constantly looking for opportunities to learn more about the world around her.
Vedasri also loves art, and this unique affinity towards both art and science is what brought her to being a part of Colors For Heart. Vedasri is also very passionate about volunteering, and she volunteers very often.
She is also the founder of the Red Cross Club at her school. She also likes to meet new people, travel, and spend time with her friends and family.
Vedasri can't wait to help people and make an impact through Colors For Heart.
